FAQs
-
Is there somewhere I can leave a review? Are there any customer testimonies?
We would absolutely love your feedback, you can provide it here anytime! We would be extremely grateful if you recommended us to family & friends - as a small business it makes a big difference.
-
What location options do you provide?
Depending on the preference of each tutor, we offer a range of location options including online lessons, traveling to you (extra fee), traveling to the tutor or meeting at an agreed upon public space. Depending on your location, online may be the only suitable option.
-
We have a really tight schedule, are you flexible?
As a business, we are always striving to be as flexible as possible. All of our tutors offer a wide range of hours for when you can book. If nothing available works for you, email us and we will do our best to accommodate for you.
-
What if I want to learn a topic or instrument you don't have listed?
We are always looking to expand our range of services. If you are interested in something that isn’t listed, email us. We will first confirm that it is not an error, then we will do our best to arrange a session.
-
How frequently can I book in?
You can book in as frequently or infrequently as you please - it’s built around your schedule. For long term students, we find that engaging in at least one weekly session (30 mins for music, 60 mins for academic) proves to be most beneficial. You can also book in ad-hoc sessions with in as little as 48 hours notice.
-
Do you offer any deals to lessen the cost? Or multiple sessions in a package, that I can book all at once?
We offer multiple different packages for all of our services, usually for 10+ sessions. These are cheaper than paying individually for lessons and they allow you to book (and alter later if needed) months at a time!
-
How do payments work?
When you book in a session online, you will be required to pay to secure your booking. If the booking is done on our end, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to pay, prior to the session. With each payment, you will automatically receive email confirmation from Stripe our payment processor. To manage any outstanding payments, view invoices or access receipts, head to our Payment Portal.
-
Are lessons one-on-one, in small groups or class sized?
We offer private individual and small group lessons across the board. Depending on interest, we also provide options to join a public small group or class.
-
What determines your pricing? Why shouldn't we go to a cheaper sole trader?
Here at Music & the Mind, we provide a lot of benefits outside of the service itself. These include, but are not limited to:
Being able to book in at a moment’s notice online.
Extremely flexible location & hours.
Pay online with ease & package options available.
Most importantly, all of our tutors have numerous certifications & qualifications, as safety & quality are our top priorities.
We also ensure our tutors are paid (including super) adequately for not only the session, but for prior knowledge, planning, note taking, transport, resources, and the list continues.
