Mae Traeger is a bluegrass fiddle player, classical violinist and instrumental tutor; she works as a touring musician around Australia, a session player/recording artist and a tutor at several schools as well as her home studio in Adelaide. Mae also directs several string ensembles within her schools. Mae has been playing the violin for 20 years and has been teaching for 6. Her passion for violin tutoring looks past the 'practice for exams' approach and towards nurturing her students' mental and physical well being as musicians.

I started playing the violin when I was 5. The first violin I ever ha was made out of cardboard! My mum is a musician, so I have always been around music and it felt like a natural step to begin learning an instrument.
